#LazyNigerianYouths has been trending, thanks to our dear President who said in a video that some Nigerian youths are lazy; and I especially like a lot of Nigerian youths, in a bid to prove that they are not lazy, took to the internet (Twitter, mostly) to spell out what they do as entrepreneurs and everything their business entails (as much as a tweet can allow) – I’ve discovered some amazing people in the process; so I guess this whole lazy affair has its upside after all.
It’s the way folks jumped on showcasing their businesses that inspired me to do this post. Laziness can mean inactivity OR easy and relaxed activity – so we are going to dump the former and look at some of the “lazy” stunts you can pull to make your work easier and give you time for some relaxation.
Someonemessaged me some time to ask what strategy or idea made the best impact for me and my business in 2018 Q1, and I replied with a “making a to-do list first thing every morning.”
Yes, it was that simple! Because I had a couple brands I churn out content for almost on a daily basis, I try to make my work easier by listing all that I needed to do in an order of urgency and importance; and the delightful truth is that by following this strategy, I am mostly satisfied with the work I have done by the time it is noon that there is some time to maybe catch my breath and let my fingers rest before I proceed.
You will be amazed at how much creating a to-do list can help you score a couple lazy hours in the day! You should try it and give me feedback.
These to-do lists help me deliver great content on time – you might want to read my post on setting reminders and delivering value on time too. Swift delivery helps build credibility and trust.
